SCAN is introducing an additional medical plan for employees living outside California. Those residing outside California may enroll in the Aetna EPO plan for 2026! While the EPO plan has a similar network to the current Aetna HDHP offering, the networks are not the same. Please verify your healthcare is provider is in-network below.
Beginning January 1, 2026, Aetna’s medical plans will provide coverage for the diagnosis and treatment of infertility, which includes coverage for artificial insemination and the diagnosis and treatment of underlying causes of infertility. SCAN’s plans through Aetna will also cover Advanced Reproductive Technology (ART). ART coverage includes a limited amount of egg retrievals and includes in virto fertilization (IVF), zygote intrafallopian transfer (ZIFT), gamete intrafallopian transfer (GIFT), and more.
Please review Aetna’s plan documents for further details regarding fertility coverage.
